The President of the Republic Kaïs Saïed announced that a curfew was decided from tomorrow Wednesday, March 17, 2020 from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. in order to limit the spread of the coronavirus in Tunisia.

The President of the Republic  also called on the Tunisians to discipline and adhere to the measures adopted by the state in the framework of combating the “Corona” epidemic.

In his speech , Saïed stressed that the effective and real solution is in the hands of citizens, pointing out to the need to rely on their awareness of the situation resulting from the outbreak of this global pandemic and that proper behavior is the one that can tackle the virus and limit its spread before eliminating it, according to his statement.

Saïed said that the "virus" did not begin to retreat in some countries except with discipline and respect for the measures taken by the authorities.

He added that additional measures can be taken from those announced by the government if the situation requires it, stressing at the same time that any measure will achieve its objectives only by automatic response.
